Good luck. It won't be cheap of course, and if my experience a few years
back is any indication, make sure you cross the Ts and dot the Is with
respect to insurance and being able to prove value. I had a 40 lb
modulation transformer rewound by WZ1M in Maine back when I was living in
VT, a couple hours away. He shipped it to me mounted on a board, double
boxed and surrounded with solid foam packing inside. 200 miles or so later,
it arrived looking like a soccer ball, no corners left on the box and
numerous holes. Amazingly, the porcelain insulators were intact, but they
had managed to snap one of the thick cast iron frames.

The only way I was able to get reimbursed was by providing a page from a 2
year old Peter Dahl online transformer catalog to establish some kind of
replacement value. Otherwise it was obsolete electronics with zero value in
their view.

I would suggest DHL instead, if they were still in business domestically.
Sadly, they are not. It might be worthwhile to see if anyone out that way
is traveling east, or trying Greyhound Bus lines.
