[Central-Electronics] BC-458 tri-ax

Hello everyone.

On a CE BC-458 VFO do the four shields tie together at the plug or not?  I think not from the picture but want to be sure.  The picture seems to show the two outer shields connected together and brought out to a lug while the two inner shields connect together and then to pin 1.

Also the tri-ax I found at the local electronics surplus place is bright, bright yellow.  Will this make the VFO more or less stable?
