Hello Nick,

Bob has done a superb job on the CE web page!! I had the privilege of
talking with Joe Batchelor many time back in the 90's when I was preparing
the 100V article for ER. Joe even sent me his original patent for the broad
band coupler made so famous in the 100V and 600L...

Hey Fellow CE Collectors,

Bob W0YVA has done a great job designing the new Central Electronics
website, which will soon be moving off of the Tusa Consulting page. We
have
some really interesting new material to share from Wes Schum's Central
Electronics files...just wait until you see the Central electronics novice
rig!
Or how about listening to some Soundscriber transcriptions discs involving
early 100V design ideas shared between Wes and Joe Batchelor recorded in
1955 and early 1956? Having those green vinyl discs transcribed into
digital wave files, and hearing them for the first time, was like taking a
time
machine back into amateur radio's golden age. Once we get them loaded up,
you will be camped out for a few hours.

To Bob's point, it would be great if you could submit pictures of your CE
equipped shacks, things you have learned along the way and personal stories

about Central that you would like to share with others. Your additions
will be properly credited and seeing how you have restored your equipment
could help entice others into trying their hand at vintage radio. Since
there
were well over 6,000 10A thru 20A exciters produced, there is an
inexpensive rig out there for anyone thinking about experiencing the early
days of
single sideband.
