Ah ha so there is a vintage SSB net somewhere.
I have this old Eldico SSB 100 Mil that I finally brought back to life.
Bought it back in 1998 at the Cleveland Hamfest for $20 and just finally got around to getting it up and running.
Four electrolytics, two paper caps and some contact cleaner was about all it took.
Came up quickly and the little oscilloscope id pretty useful.
Even checked in with the AM anchorage here in Florida by adding carrier.
Now to get the GPT1K up and going !

>In 1958, I built a C E 20A. I learned so much about phasing, RF, control circuits, etc from this great project. I kept it all these years - not using it for at least two decades or more but I sent it to Nick Tusa who completely restored this baby.
>I also sent my 458 VFO and the 600L. Nick did a marvelous job, of course and upon its return I began using it more and more. After a good 30 to 45 minute warm up, I have very little drift - oh I recheck it about every 30 minutes or so.....not a big deal. The combination is fantastic. The phasing generator sounds wonderful with my new PR 781 microphone. Many times stations will not believe I am on a 1958 kit! Of course many were not in the hobby when Wes Schum was king - and you thought it was Art Collins. NOPE....it was Wes.
>Bottom line. Get that baby all cleaned up, retubed, aligned and ENJOY! Join us on the Sunday afternoon Vintage SSB net 14.292. You will hear several C.E. products.
>If you haven't figured it out, I STILL have that great passion for this hobby and the C.E. 20A that began in 1950's ! Keep the legacy of Wes Schum alive.
