[Central-Electronics] Lakeshore Band-Hopper VFO

Am restoring this VFO for use w/ a 20A and need some thoughts about the panel.  The paint is somewhat faded and seems quite brittle; some small spots are beginning to peel. 

Aside from finding a new or good used panel I'd appreciate your favorite ideas to restore the panel while keeping the original lettering appearance.  I suspect the panel will have to be repainted - I just need ideas how to get the lettering, etc replaced without breaking the bank!
