Goto the FedEx and UPS pages and check out packaging requirments. e.g.
expect a 3 ft drop test.

double box it.
Foam in place is really nice but not many UPS stores have it. They
mostly use peanuts.
However, if you get a UPS store to package it for you, it is hard for
UPS to claim inadequate
packaging

I've had great success with using styrofoam sheets rather than the
peanuts.
The sheets stay in place and you can make cutouts for knobs etc.

If double boxing, you might use peanuts in the outer box however keep in
mind that
they shift and expect them to drop it on a corner. This tends to push
all the peanuts
out of the way. Again styrofoam sheets help and you could use peanuts as
fillers.

Depending on who you talk to, people have had varying success with
FedEx/UPS.

Do watch the insurance options (fine print). They will gladly accept
your insurance payment
for the 200V but if they find out that it is "vintage"/"Antique" the
insurance is void.

Am contemplating on selling my 200V and would appreciate
packing/shipping ideas from those who have shipped or received one via
UPS, Fed EX, DHL etc. Thank you,
