[Central-Electronics] BC-458 Power out

Hi Ron:
The schematics I have for all of the CE exciters (10A, 10B, 20A) have a note
by the VFO input plug that specifies 8 RF volts MAX. I'm assuming that's an
RMS value, but there's no confirmation on the diagram.
I'll put a scope on it next time I run the 10B with its 458 VFO.
73 & keep em glowing!

Subject: [Central-Electronics] BC-458 Power out

Just finishing up a lengthy project which included a ground up modification
of a BC-458 and a more or less minor restoration of a 20A. I can't seem to
find any numbers for the expected output of the BC-458. Anyone know what the
drive wattage is supposed to be from the BC-458 VFO? Or maybe more
importantly, what is the required input drive for the 20A to get rated
output?
