Wes (W9DYV) is alive and kicking in Northeastern Tennessee.. And two years ago I had the distinct pleasure of working on the 100-R with Wes and Nick Tusa (K5EF) while Wes had it in his possession. It has since been returned to Joel Thurtel.

Both Nick and Wes can give you as detailed a history on the 100-R as you could want. Again, there are features in the 100-R that put it way ahead of its time. However, it still needed a great deal of additional work before it was production ready.
