Chris,
I too have a MM-2 in need of restoration. The high voltage filter
capacitor shorted out on me, and I put my MM-2 with manual in a box
somewhere. I"ll try to find it, and scan the schematic for you. Question for
you is where do you find Nick Tusa's service notes on the MM-2?
Regards,
Jim Candela

Hi CE Group,
Man, it is so quiet out there in CE land, I hope someone reads this. I
really hope I get some responses. :-)
I need some help with my newly acquired MM-2. First thing I did was
download the manual on BAMA. Second thing I did was to print out a copy of
Nick Tusa's Service Notes.
Three questions:
1. Does anyone have a really legible print or enlarged copy of the Fig 1 and
Fig 2 schematics that are in the manual? I would be thrilled to pay for the
copying, mailing, and gas money if someone were willing to go to the effort.
The Bama download pages, as warned, are just too low res to show the
schematic clearly and the component values/nomenclature are not legible.
2. In the CE archives, there was an inquiry about a parts list for the MM-2.
I could not find any response that was copied to the list. Does anyone have
such a parts list that CE published or that some intrepid CE warrior
created? If so, and if someone was willing, I would be thrilled to
pay.........(see Q1.).
3. Has anyone needed to change out any of the components that Nick
recommends changing? There's not a lot of room to work under the chassis if
the component needing replacement is buried beyond the upper layer of
components. If someone has gone through the experience of a partial or
complete electronic restoration of this unit, I would really enjoy talking
with you. Come back with your phone number and I will give you a call.
OK, that's a lot to ask of a list that is very quiet so please bear with me
and please give me all the help you can....I need it!!!
Thanks es 73,
Chris
