The two-tube device is an AP-2 Adapter.  It is a crystal controlled IF 
converter (6BA7), like the AP-1 except it is followed by one IF amplifier stage 
(6AU6).  Use the same alignment instructions for the AP-1 to align the two IF 
transformers on the AP-2
