[Central-Electronics] For Sale CE 600L

[K0HB]

A few days ago I sent a message here looking for pricing advice on a
Central Electronics 600L amplifier owned by the widow of a ham who passed
away about 5 years ago. At that time I wasn't looking for bids, but we did
get one offer for the amplifier.

The offer is considered a fair price, and normally we'd accept it without
any further action.

However, in fairness to others here who may be interested we have conferred
with the original bidder, and agreed to place the 600L up for bids just on
this reflector (not on eBay). I stress that we consider the original bid
perfectly acceptable, and it will be kept private because we are NOT trying
to "get a better deal", just to give other collectors a fair opportunity to
bid.

I have not tested this amplifier, so can't vouch for it's operability,
although it was operable when the owner passed away, and sits on the desk
where he left it. I'm not a collector, so don't know what standards you
grade to, but it looks completely original without any modifications. All
knobs, meter, etc appear original, and the exterior is not banged up in any
fashion, with good original paint. The owner was a non-smoker.

If you are interested in this item, send a PRIVATE email to
k-zero-hb at earthlink.net. We will leave the bidding open for 3 days,
closing at 10PM CST, Tuesday, December 7th.
