[Central-Electronics] CE Equipment and Collins NETs

	Hi Group,

I got a idea from another CE member that maybe some of us can check into
one of the Collins nets using our CE equipment. Of course it might make a
more "legitimate" contact if we have a Collins receiver, antenna tuner, etc.
on line at the same time with our 100/200V or 10/20a exciters. Would having
a Judy Collins album, or a Joan Collins movie be sufficient to check into
the Collins net? :-)

The Collins net frequencies are listed at the following link.

http://www.collinsradio.org/html/cca_nets.html

As for me, I'll try to get on the Thursday evening (8 PM Central) net at
3875 Khz LSB (or SB1 on my 20a), and on AM Wednesday November 5th on 3880 at
8:00 PM Central. I travel a lot for my work, so I might not be able to make
these, but I'll try.

I have also heard that there is a vintage SSB net on 20 meters. Here is a
link about that:

I cannot do 20 meters yet with my QRO 20A until I find a good way to
neutralize the RF final amplifier stage. For those with a working 20 meter
setup, check it out.

Maybe we can represent our CE equipment on one of the nets, find out who we
can hear, and see how many participants there are, etc. Given enough
interest, and participation, maybe we can branch off on our own, or just
decide to check into the nets, have a little fun, swap a few lies (like
forget to mention the 600L in line), etc.

Comments Please...

Regards,
Jim Candela
