I'm betting that things will start to pick up more and more as the
seasons and weather regress back to 'inhospitable' in most places. I
know I was tinkering with the 100V to get it back on te air last spring,
but ran out of time. The weather finally improved and there is always a
lot that needs doing outside. Or, as the farmers say ' you gotta make
hay while the sun shines'. My 200V is going to be a bit more of a
project sinceit sat idle for many years. I removed the old batteries and
did some overall cleaning, but after powering it up for testing, I found
the display to show only a flat line (no drive?) on most bands. One or
two bands produced deflection, but the rest were flatlined. Recently
picked up some 6550 pulls from a listmember, so there is indeed some
activity going on out there behind the scenes.
Of course, I'm in the middle of a broadcast transmitter project at this
time but it seems to be progressing nicely, so maybe the 100V will get
some attention soon. I'd be curious to know of any parts donors out
there. My 200V has a bent shaft on one of the controls, and the skirt is
deformed a bit too. Otherwise it looks pretty nice overall.
