[Central-Electronics] 100V battery...

Hey all!

I've got a 100V here that the tiny disk-batteries were changed out to an AA
carrier with some sort of dry cells.  Of course the dry cells had long
since succomed to the hippie-era and had grown big mounds of hair...
fortunately, they didn't leak on anything that I couldn't straighten up.
Battery holder was shot, so I clipped the wires and sent it to the trash.

So my question is... what's the consequence of running the 100V WITHOUT
batteries... and the other question is... can I replace the battery-circuit
with a tiny solid-state regulated supply?  If so, what things should I keep
in mind?
