+AD4- I also have a 20A and the 458 VFO combo. I find the low power
+AD4- is a little less than I would like. Any one with ideas on a
+AD4- linear.

Back then (high school student/late 50s) we would gaggle a group of eight
6AG7s with 1000/1200 volts on the plates and run the crap out of them as a
linear.

The tubes were only two bits a piece and easily obtainable. They would run
so hot that the metal envelopes would turn red. So what if they didn't last
too long, they were cheap.

Quick and dirty way to get a couple hundred watts for the faithful 20A.

It was fun to be young.
