Hey Lee,
Did you get any response on this? I would love to come down and help
and see the setup, just not sure if I'll be in town. I am leaving again
this Sunday for Fort Walton Beach FL for 12 days for another class for
the Air Force. I got a response from Michelle, she advised she would be
willing to help man the station at the hospital for a while during the
exercise. I also got a response from Joe, those are the only two that
have responded so far. I'm sure as the date draws closer and I make a
few calls I'll have more people on the list.

How are things at the Flick household? Sounds like you had some wind
damage, was the tree the only victim of the storm? Things are good here,
got back from Utah last Friday and went to TN for a 4-day weekend this
past Thursday - Sunday. Had a great time with the kids, went to a water
park, toured a big cave system, etc, all those classic summer vacation
events. The kids are doing well and getting bigger, they grow up fast.

I haven't been on the air in months, I plan on getting on HF digital
this Friday night for a while, I'll see if I can make a few contacts.
Looking forward to it, need to blow the dust off the FT-817!

73 to you and the family,
Rob - N2OMC

Subject: [CC-ARES-RACES] Request to Visit Hospital for Repairs to Coax
Cable

Hi Mr. Hall,
In advance of the upcoming drill, I would like to arrange a date/time
when I may visit the room/closet (where the coax is coiled above the
ceiling) and install new plug ends (PL259 connectors). During our
inspection earlier in the year, we noted that each of the plugs had
problems.

Once we agree on a date/time, I would either require the use of a small
step ladder or have someone already pull those cables down to the floor
level. And I would simply cut the old plugs off and install new plugs,
using a soldering iron. As noted, I mentioned that the installation may
result in a minor puff of smoke and/or smell, and hope nobody panics. I
can open a window and work near that opening.

My only time availability right now is after 5pm M-F of this week.
Advise if that is possible and I will coordinate further with you.

Many thanks
D. Lee Flick
