Greetings Fellow Operators,
The Civista Engineering Coordinator phoned me today regarding my inquiry
relating to visiting the hospital and testing the dipole antenna. Mr.
Gary Hall has agreed to meet us on Saturday morning, May 5, 2007 at
9:00am. He will meet us at the front desk and escort us to where we need
to be. One of the issues I wanted to ensure not only relates to the
resonant frequency, or just how tunable the dipole may be, but we should
perform a simple and official RF Safety calculation. At this time, I do
not know the configuration of the antenna in relation to
controlled/uncontrolled compliance distances. We can get the info from
the visit, and plug the values into an on-line RF Safety Calculator.
So, we can meet at PCP at 0730 and head on across the tracks for the 9:00
meeting. Please let me know via e-mail who plans to attend and what you
plan to bring with you. At the least, we will need an HF radio, power
supply, tuner, analyzer, etc. The usual fare. I will bring the analyzer
and some odd lengths of coax and will determine if anything else is
required once I hear from the masses.
Thanks
