[CC-ARES-RACES] Miscellaneous items

Greetings everyone,

A couple of items that may be of interest:

1. I hate to be the harbinger of bad news but thought I should pass along the 
N3VIL, Allan D. Fenwick became a silent key last week. The obituary was in 
last week's Maryland Independent. I did not see any mention of this on the 
reflector(s) and assumed that it was due to the preparations for Hurricane Isabel.

2. My XYL pointed out an ad in the September 24th issue of the Pennysaver 
that may be of interest to some of you:

3. The Pennsylvania QSO Party will be Oct. 11 & 12. Information can be found

Anyone interested?

4. I did check out the Antietam Radio Association's website ( www.w3cwc.org ) 
for an update on the MDC QSO party but results have not been posted yet-the 
website says some time in early October. I'm interested to see how the CCARC 
fared this year.
