Mike,
Looks like the storm is getting a little weaker as it gets closer,
that's good news. Not sure if I can be much help, with Lori's schedule
and mine.. I will be working on Thursday so maybe some time that night
into Friday morning. I have an interview with a company called Wamnet at
Quantico on Friday so will need to be ready for that. Thanks for the ok
on the reference, just don't tell them you're a strange, radio geek!!

Hope things are going well with you, I know you've been busy at work. I
know I've been saying for a long time that my time with Level3 was
limited but we have a date now. The lease on the building in Columbia
will be up in Dec and if we don't want to move to Atlanta or Denver then
we are gone. The job in VA came at a good time and I think I will go
south over the bridge and up 95 or 1 to get there so hopefully the
traffic won't be quite as bad.=20

The meeting on Friday was interesting. With only 6 people we didn't do
any club business but Chuck gave a good demo of his volt-meter. Then we
heard stories of Nam and old radio days, was a lot of fun..=20

I'm hoping to make it to the horse ride on the new date, I think we'll
need a new Net Control since it sounds like Art will be at the
part-time. I can fill that position if it comes to it.=20

Well, talk to you soon...Rob =20

Hello to all. I have been communicating with Emergency Management
regarding the approaching hurricane. Anticipate activation of the new
EOC in the coming days. More to follow on that when received. Check all
of your portable communications gear now. Power for your equipment will
most likely become a priority during this event. Include provisions for
multiple day operations. Those that will be available to assist are asked
to email me or call my house. If no one answers, please wait for the
message and leave your information. Please leave a current telephone
number if the call tree information has changed. If you work evenings
and can cover the day shift or vice versa, that is also very good
information.

We will need an operator for the day shift, starting at 0800 Thursday
morning, in the Civista Hospital EOC. They have already indicated they
plan to activate. I received that information from Jim Dunn W3JTD this
morning. Other information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
Security issues are already in effect. Be sure you have the credentials
needed to access where you will be asked to be deployed. This is a
proven team! You are just being asked to be ready to do it again.
Family first and always.............

73,

Mike KA3GRW
