Dear Amateur Radio Operators,
I own an ICOM 706 MKIIG radio that I bought from HRO last year. I enjoy this radio very much and have become quite familiar with it. It sucks alot of power to use to go mobile. Does anyone own this radio or know someone who does who would be able to answer some questions for me about it? I would like to use this radio to go mobile sometimes but and would like to rig it some how so I can hook it into the cigarette lighter to use. Is this possible if I switch it to low power and if so how could I do it? Does anyone also know if ICOM or another company makes a case for it that I can put it in to protect it when I take it places?
Thank you,
Jesse Small KB3GXV of Waldorf, MD
