Hi Folks,
With all of the fun a few of us have been enjoying playing with the
'birds', Mike Tackish suggested I share the wealth and let everyone know
the freqs. I have been concentrating on the FM Satellite UO-14, with
uplink set at 145.978 (interpolated and I keep it fixed) and downlink
beginning at 435.080, and tuning lower to account for doppler shift. I
was on the other night, talking with a gent from Phoenix, and W3TOM
mobile popped up. Great experience. Rob (N2OMC) is hooked as well. I
use a weather satellite tracking program and have for about two years
now. I am quite used to it and it does everything I need. This evening,
UO-14 begins its pass at 9:13 pm and that will last until 28 minutes past
the hour. Sorry for short notice, but if you dont have a tracking
program, try heaven's above and it will do just fine. I also plan to set
up a station for field day and go after those extra points for satellite
qso.
Enjoying yet another facet of amateur radio.

Lee
