Hello Fellow Amateur Radio Operators,

Here is a brief reminder that our monthly Membership Meeting for March 2002 (yes, March) is upon us and is scheduled for Friday, 1 March 2002 - or the end of this week ! Time is 7:30pm and is always located at the SMECO Offices in White Plains, MD, opposite Demarr Road intersection with Route 301. Highlights to include elections of Officers.  It should be a spirited event, and I support and thank anyone who holds a post as a Board Member or a Committee position.  Having been involved at one or the other at various times over the years (since 1997), I respect the commitment of time and effort required for each endeavor.

I recently learned that my oldest son's Talent Show is being held the same night, at 7:00pm.  Thus, I will be unable to preside over the events, and will instead be rooting on my son and his band at the LaPlata High School Auditorium.  In typical teenage-fashion, we learned about this just last night. Oh well, I'll just have to have someone fill me in as to the outcome of our elections.  Not many things will tear me away from my son's school events.

For the record, I received the annual renewal for the USPS box rent at White Plains Post Office.  I will pay the $35 and submit for reimbursement, as I do every year.  Also, I have the latest bank statement and the formal IRS document which will be supported by the homework provided by Charlie(AA3WS).

I wish the new Board great success,  and they may always count on support from the Flick family.
