The Calvert Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution 32-05 “Adoption of the National Incident Management System as Calvert County’s means of Incident Management” in 2005. This resolution directed the Calvert County Department of Public Safety Division of Emergency Management to coordinate a training program throughout the Calvert County Government to ensure the implementation of NIMS.

Calvert Emergency Management is asking that Calvert AUXCOMM members who plan to participate in EOC operations (in the EOC or in the field) complete NIMS ICS-100 and ICS-700 classes by July 1, 2024.

I currently have ICS-100 and ICS-700 completion certificates from:

     KC3WRX
     N3PH
     N3PPH
     K3UGA

If you have already completed these two NIMS classes, please send me copies of your completion certificates. If not, please consider taking the on-line training as outlined below and send me copies of your completion certificates after completing the training. I'll aggregate the certificates and provide copies to Calvert Emergency Management.

To begin all participants must obtain a FEMA Student Identification number referred to as a SID number. Attached is a one-page document on how to obtain that number. Once you have obtained that number you may proceed to FEMA’s EMI site.

The second attachment is a FEMA flyer which gives direction on how to start taking these independent study programs. Please refer to the yellow shaded area on the lower half of the page to get started.

tnx
