Hello Calvert AUXCOMM members,

Another month has gone by and it's time for our net this coming Tuesday at 7:30pm on the CARA repeater (146.985 - 156.7)   Hoping that soon we can return to face-to-face meetings but I'll probably need to find a new venue since the county is planning to demolish the old county services building.  Not sure if that work has started yet.

Topic for Tuesday will be final planning for our "digital field day" on Saturday May 22 starting at 10:00am.   So far only four operators have made plans to join in.  Hoping we can get a few more participants even if their operation is from the home station.   Focus is on using FLDIGI with the MT63 mode on 10M, 6M and 2M.   Exercise coordination via the CARA repeater.  If the WX doesn't cooperate we'll work from our home QTH's.

OBTW...drove by the Courthouse in Prince Frederick this afternoon.  The monopole in back of the Courthouse is finally being taken down.  Workers have stripped all the antennas off of it except for the ones at the very top.   Probably by mid next week the monopole will be gone.
