[CALV-AUXCOMM] Infrastructure Update

All,

Bill, N3XMZ and I started to install our new equipment at the Prince Frederick EOC this week.   We now have all four Kenwood TM-V71 radio front panels and RemoteRigs installed as well as the two TM-V71A radio decks and RemoteRigs in the equipment room that will connect to the two Diamond X50 antennas on the back of the courthouse roof.   The nice shelf at our EOC position was fabricated by Dave, W3PQS.

Calvert IT ran the CAT6 cables from our EOC position to the equipment room.  Two of these cables directly connect a pair of V71 front panels to their RF decks.  The other two CAT6 cables will tie into the county VLAN to connect to radio decks at the Barstow tower shelter.

The remaining work at Prince Frederick is just running hardline from the equipment rack to the Polyphasers at the entrance panel and tiding up some grounding in the rack.

A few pictures are attached, one showing the two V71 front panels alive and talking to their RF decks via the RemoteRigs.

Next effort will focus on the Barstow tower shelter equipment.  Looking for any help from someone that understands TCP/IP virtual LANS and VLAN switches.
