[CALV-AUXCOMM] Calvert ARES on Standby & Net Next Tuesday

The National Weather Service is has issued an ice storm warning for Calvert.  As much as 0.3 inches of ice may accumulate on trees, wires and other exposed surfaces.

I am putting Calvert ARES on a standby condition.  Please monitor the 146.985 repeater.  NWS would like spotter inputs on any ice accumulation.

Next Tuesday, Feb 16th, we will have a net at 7:30PM on the 146.985 repeater.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia. .

DAY ONE...Today and Tonight An Ice Storm Warning is in effect through tonight for Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary`s Counties. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through tonight for the remainder of the outlook area. .

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday There is a slight winter storm threat for Monday into Tuesday, and again Wednesday night into Thursday. If these threats materialize, they may cause travel disruptions.
