Steve Thanks, I understand the HF concept kinda staying the same with ARDOP. I use the Yeasu FT 897 and w/ signal link sound card set up is recognized, My problem  is this is sound card based, what will be the protocall for Kenwood TM D710 with internat TNC? Still winlink packet ?P2P? Does this mean a VHF radio will not be used in future, as it is going to all sound card base?

WInmor is a HF protocol for Gateway and P2P. So no effect on VHF. ARDOP
works good on HF...a good free substitute for Winmor. ARDOP uses the game
gear you have been using for Winmor. Just a change in the Session Type and
easy setup like you did with Winmor. Some folks will probably move to VARA
HF to replace Winmor but it's $$ but considerably faster.
