***VARA FM NOTE!*********
With the introduction of Vara FM V4.x some nodes have been upgraded. This version is NOT backwards compatible so you must upgrade your EmComm gear to access these nodes. Two nodes in PRGE have been upgraded; these are KA3POX-10 and KC3DSO-10. I highly recommend anyone upgrading to install V4 in it's own directory and simply tell Express where the new version is located in Setup. This allows you to keep both the 3.x.x. version and the 4.x versions on your computer. There is a distinct possiblity you may face a situation (P2P, Gateway, etc.) the other station has not upgraded and you may not be able to connect. Therefore, until V4 becomes mainstream, keeping both installs in a good idea. I installed my Vara FM V4 in the directory C:\VARA FM V4. Leaving the regular Vara FM directory of C:|Vara FM alone. Then in Express Vara TNC setup simply tell Express of the new location and your set. The old version takes up very little space on your hard drive. If anyone needs assistance I can help. Contact me via Winlink to my tac call MDCASEC.
