All,
The K3CAL-10 (Prince Frederick) and K3CAL-1 (Mt Hope) digipeaters have been down due to equipment failures.
I have a new setup (FT-1500 radio at 25W and MFJ-1270C TNC) running temporarily at my home QTH using the 2M vertical on top of my tower. I have been unable to hit any of the Winlink gateways on 145.750 MHz, likely due to unfavorable terrain to my north.
For now, I've set the digi frequency to 145.070 MHz which gets into the KB3FWW-10 gateway over in St Mary's county.
After a few weeks to make sure thongs continue to work, we'll move the digi to Mt Hope. Not sure yet what frequency we will set it on after the move.
I'm still working on the possibility of putting our own Winlink gateway at the hospital.
At my QTH, 145.750 seems to have a good deal of noise. Would appreciate hearing from others regarding noise on that frequency.
