All,

Over the last few weeks in some spare time, I completed the ARRL EC-001 emergency communications class. Overall I think it was worth taking. It's free and entirely self-paced but you do have to be an ARRL member. You can read the material on-line as well as download the session and study off-line.

If you have not taken EC-001 yet, I encourage you to do so.

Before you begin this course you should have completed the following FEMA prerequisites: ICS-100 (IS-100.C), Introduction to the Incident Command System and IS-700 (IS-700.B).

You can find ICS-100 at https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-100.c and ICS-700 at ttps://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-700.bm

Sign-up for EC-001 is at https://www.arrl.org/online-course-enrollment/17
