[CALV-AUXCOMM] Fwd: 2017 MDC Section SET Update

I would like to do this earlier just to get the bugs out. I'm feeling pressured that I'm the only one going across the bridge. If that's the case, I don't feel I have the experience to carry this off. Could we practice this during the next week also. Then we'd be ready for a mini-SET.

Subject: [CALV-AUXCOMM] Fwd: 2017 MDC Section SET Update

All,

See Jim's request below for mobile with APRS and Winlink. If anyone can volunteer (driver + Winlink Packet operator) please let Jim know and cc me. wb3kas at aol.com

I'll be forwarding traffic on HF Winlink so unable to go over to the eastern shore.

BREAK-BREAK

For those unable to go over to the eastern shore on Oct 7th, how about participating in a "Mini-SET" right here in Calvert County? I'd like to have operators at:

EOC

Health Department

Huntingtown High School parking lot

Drum Point

We would check communications capabilities between these sites using both CARA repeaters and simplex. Voice and Winlink Packet. Start at around 9am for a few hours.

Since we will already have the Health Department manned Thursday evening, Oct 5th, there may be an option to conduct our mini-SET on the 5th rather than the 7th.

Thoughts?

Shawn
