Our monthly AUXCOMM meeting is scheduled for 7:30pm next Tuesday, Sep 19 at the County Services Building in Prince Frederick.


We will be going over plans for the SET on Oct 7th (including the Calvert Health Department activation on the evening of Oct 5th).


The "triple header" for the Oct 7-8 weekend includes SET on the 7th and both the CF bike ride and PRAD parade on the 8th.


As previously mentioned, this year's SET activity will concentrate on the eastern shore.  If you are available to deploy across the bay, let me know and I'll inform our SEC so you can get an assignment.   I've been asked to man my HF Winlink station to pass traffic from the eastern shore to MEMA and other out of reach by VHF/UHF.  I'd like to have a backup.


Les... if you would like to take part of the meeting to go over the CF bike ride plan, that would be fine.


KB3RAN needs someone to lead the PRAD effort since Dave will be occupied on the eastern shore serving as one of three RV command posts for SET.


On an unrelated note, it appears Hurricane Jose will stay out to sea as it passes north.  But the new tropical storm Maria is expected to strengthen to a hurricane and it's track suggest potential impact somewhere on the Atlantic seaboard.  Maria is worth your attention.
