All,
The Ohio ARRL SEC has been sponsoring a "NVIS Antenna Day" for a few years now. The objective is to try out different NVIS antennas and make contact to other Ohio ARES stations. They are trying to expand the event into adjacent states. This year "NVIS Antenna Day" is April 22. The date in the link below is incorrect.
Sounds like it could be a fun thing to do here in Calvert as well. Ohio is "just beyond" NVIS range from southern Maryland but who know, we might be able to work a few of them too, if not by NVIS then sky wave. And perhaps some neighboring states to us, like Pennsylvania and West Virginia, would be on too.

This could be an individual activity by Calvert AUXCOMM members from their own QTH to other Calvert AUXCOMM members and stations in adjacent states, or we could deploy to a local park and make it a group effort.
Let me know if you're interested.
Shawn
