I'd like to get together next Tuesday at 7:30PM (same location as our CARA meetings) to discuss the upcoming Simulated Emergency Test. The SET is scheduled for Oct 1-2. Hoping we can have a good turnout for both the meeting and the SET. 

This year's SET is quite a bit different and will not glue you to your radio for hours. But it will require capability to exchange Winlink 2000 peer-to-peer messages on either 40 meters or 80 meters. This requires a SSB transceiver, a sound card interface and a computer running Winmor software (the new Winlink Express package or the older RMS Express). Ideally a NVIS antenna would fill out the requirements but an existing 80M or 40M antenna of some sort should suffice.
