[CALV-ARES] High Wind Warning - Update

Just out to clear my heat pump of snow.  There was snow on every side of it; the winds seem to be variable in direction.  Noticed snow stuck to both the east and west sides of my house.  Estimating winds currently at 25 knots, do not have an anemometer.  My street is being plowed by CRE, a plow just now came by and scraped it again.  


There is a need to get employees to area hospitals, nursing homes and senior housing.  If you know of a reliable 4 wheel driver, let county govt. know you are available.



There is 9 inches of snow measured..


Talked with Peter KB3SXB and Charlie AB3LE on CALV05 (146.5650 last night.  We can have a local net if necessary in the south county.  Peter said Chris Moody KC3RM, a Drum Point neighbor, is also monitoring our main freq

  DAMAGE. DRIVING HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES IN THESE CONDITIONS IS
  DANGEROUS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A DAMAGING WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED.
SUSTAINED WINDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR MORE
WILL CAUSE TREE AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.  ANTICIPATE POWER OUTAGES.
IF YOU LIVE NEAR LARGE TREES... REMAIN IN A LOWER LEVEL OF YOUR
