I've been trying to get this to work for over a week. Suggestions?
I have been using a TNC-X that I built and have had good success with that
but when I decided to try this with my TM-V71 dual bander I couldn't get it
to work.

All,
I came across an interesting video explaining how you can use a Signal Link
plus your VHF/UHF FM transceiver and some software to send Winlink packet
messages without a hardware TNC. The magic is some software from UZ7HO
that replaces the hardware TNC modem.
