Eric,
The Hospital Net was doubling most of the time over hams already on frequency who sure weren't about to move. The Net tried to switch to two other frequencies .822 and .821 but ended up back on the original frequency (3.820). It was still doubling most the time. There was one other call-in from Calvert County.
I did copy your traffic msg on the 1800hrs Emergency Net, just for practice. Your Monday training class extended!

ASM Wanda Montgomery, KA3AHI, who has been working diligently to connect
hospitals, health departments and Amateur Radio, holds the HF Hospital
Net (HFHN) on the Wednesday after the third Monday every month.
Sometimes that's the third Wednesday and, depending on the calendar it
may be the fourth Wednesday.

In the event of a major disaster, HF communication may be one of the
methods that will be needed. Whether you are in an ARES® group or not,
it would be nice to know that there is a group of HF operators who are
able to participate in an HF net to pass requests from your local
hospital via HF to the health department or local Emergency Operations
Centers.

Whether you are active in HF nets such as the Maryland Emergency
Phone Net (6 pm every day on 3.820, they would love to have more
check-ins) or you have to move some stuff out of the way to find your
rig, please give this net a try to see if you will be able to help out
from home in an emergency. It is a short net to test who is able to be
heard. It is scheduled for 7:30 pm tonight on 3.820.

73, Jim Cross WI3N
