Main gates are typically not effective in providing security against a determined attacker, especially for facilities with big perimeters.  They basically serve to chase the general public away and not much more.

I would hope they have much higher protection levels inside the buildings and access to the control rooms.  As for the containment building itself, doubt you could do much damage with anything you could drag in by truck, unless the bad guys were able to craft a deep penetrating warhead ( think "bunker buster" ) and associated high velocity launch system.  Not impossible but unlikely.

Will be interesting to see the response from Calvert cliffs management.  It's likely to be vague as they would not want to reveal details of their actual local security measures which I kinda have to believe are there, otherwise a whole bunch of agencies have failed to do their jobs.

The above video clip was posted on Foxnews.com today showing lax security at CCNPP.  This is shocking.  More reason to keep prepared and take part in ARES and RACES training.
