Sound like a very successful event today. Congratulations David, Les, Jim, Jack, and Bill for helping with the CRE 5K Run/Walk. You look very professional in the picture.
If possible, can someone from the group (David?) summarize the time spent for this activity to the best of one’s ability; include how much man-hours were used. Include all Planning, Travel, meetings,, Administrative task, actual time onsite, any post hours of work and etc..
Also If someone can make an After Hours Report, AAR, to include What Went Right and What Could be Done Better the next time.
PS reports are used by the ARRL to demonstrate the hours spent by hams for Public Service Events. AAR is documentation is used to better the event the next time. Sometime the coordinator forgets some things, pro or con, which the report could be used as a mind jogger later on. Or sometime the coordinator is a different person the next time;. The next coordinator can use the information to provide ideas of what is required to have a successful event the next time.
Thanks to KB3RAN, K3UGA, N3XMZ, KB3WUM and KH3CUJ for volunteering your equipment and time promoting how Amateur Radio benefits the people in our communities by providing communication needs at a Public Service event. Glad to see everyone using the Lime Green vest as required by Maryland Law.

Les Silva KH6CUJ, Jim Tetlow K3UGA, Bill Hackett, N3XMZ, Dave Hardy KB3RAN, and Jack Estevez KB3WUM of the Calvert Amateur Radio Association are all dressed up in their ARES vests for duty as the communications team for the Chesapeake Ranch Estates 5K Family Fun Run/Walk for the Orphaned Wildlife Rescue Center in Lusby. 51 runners/walkers turned out on this beautiful morning. The net consisted of Net Control, Race Director, Water Stop 1, Water Stop 2 and Start/Finish. CRE volunteers were assisted by OWRC staff and volunteers, CRE Security Patrol and Calvert County Sheriff's Deputies in handling registration, snacks, traffic control and parking. The CRE AirPark crew parked cars and planes. Several takeoffs and landings occurred while participants were waiting for the awards ceremony. Ribbons were awarded for several age categories for men's and women's divisions. Early arrivals were treated to a bagpiper playing patriotic music. A tour of the OWRC facility was offered after the race. They have over 75 rehabs at this time including a Bald Eagle nearly ready for release to the wild.
