[CALV-ARES] March CALV-ARES Meeting

Tuesday, March 18, will be our monthly CALV-ARES meeting at 7:30 PM (L).

 

We will be meeting at Mt. Hope Community Center, MHCC > not the Phillips
House in PF.  Matter-of-fact, we no longer will meet there.  For now on we
will be meeting at places that have radios and antennas so that we can have
hands-on training.

 

Such places such as MHCC, Drum Point Community EOC (DPEOC), Calvert County
Health Department (CCHD), Calvert County EOC and Chesapeake Ranch Club
Estates (CRE).  

 

Our goal is to have actual involvement by the CALV-ARES members.  At times,
we will have two meeting at the same time.  For example, MHCC and DPEOC, so
we can improve on our communications skills by exercising amongst ourselves.
Or we might drill with local jurisdictions such as PRGE or CHAS ARES
Station(s).  There are so many benefits meeting at locations where we have
radios and antennas already in place.  

 

Tomorrow evening meeting will be a hands-on demonstration of RMS packet and
a demonstration on the powers of meshing by Karl/KG1L.
