Thanks for letting me know David.

 

After sending this email out I heard how unsafe this area is to people.  It would be unsafe environment so it would not be wise for anyone to set up a station there.  Perhaps PRGE has a police officer that is a ham radio operator that would volunteer to set up there with his police cruiser visible.

Hello CALV-ARES Stations;

 

Prince George’s ARES is short staffed for MS Cycle Event at one Rest Stop site for Sunday, June 8.  It is located at Henson Creek Park <https://www.google.com/maps/@38.802665,-76.943421,17z>  near Camp Springs.  It is a morning only deployment ending at noon.  Would like to have two volunteers to help out.  

 

Jim Montgomery/WB3KAS, PRGE ARES EC, would like your phone number to forward to the staff in the Command Center located at National Harbor, Oxon Hill, MD.  Also, he is requesting an email address to send operator a copy of the Comm Plan.  This would be a HUGE HELP to them!  

 

Pease respond ASAP.  If you can help this would very much appreciated.  Jim is due back in the area Wednesday.  Wanda/KA3AHI and him are fly back from NV State Convention.
