Dennis,
I'm pretty well set up for 2mtr ops on RMS Express, thanks to the last meeting.
I'll help with the CF Cycle Event. I have my mobile rig (camper with generator and A/C) and HT. I've never worked a bike race. Did do the Annapolis Trail run a few years ago. Put me where you think me and my equipment will be best. Don't have APRS capabilities (yet.)

CALV ARES STATIONS please read email below concerning SET 2013 from Wanda/KA3AHI.
We will continue our hands on getting as many people setup for RMS Express at our September meeting. If you like to learn bring your 2M radio, sound card device, power supply, coax and antenna though some of these items we can share at the Phillips House with others. If you can, download the latest version of RMS Express onto your computer.
At the CALV ARES Meeting, I like to get commitments for those wanting to participate in this year’s SET and those wanting to help with the CF Cycle Event on Sunday, October 20. Like to know what position one would like to have that day such as RS #2, SAG vehicle, Start/Finish Line and etc. We like to have some stations with APRS to track the riders.
If you are going to help out our ARES group and cannot make it to the ARES Meeting, please let me know where or what you can do to help. We need a number of operator and backup operators at the various RS.
If you are not a member of CALV ARES, please let me know or come to our meeting on Tuesday, September 17 beginning at 7:30 (L) P.M. located at the Phillips House in PF.

Good evening All,
There will be a meeting on Saturday, September 21, 2013, 0900 - 1200 at the Fire Services Building, 6820 Webster Street, Hyattsville, Maryland, for a dry run of ARES' involvement in this year's Simulated Emergency Test (SET). PRGE ARES' involvement will center around but not limited to our hospital program.
SET will take place on October 4-5, 2013. The 4th will not require any participation on your part as it will be mostly weather reports of the impending strom. At approximately 0600 hurricane "Hurricane Chessie" will enter the Maryland section of the Chesapeake Bay. Over a period of time from 0600 to 1600 it will work its way through out Maryland ending at Garrett County. The scenario is designed so that all of the Maryland - DC Section counties and the District of Columbia will be affected and have a chance to play.
As each county plays out their own individually designed SET scenario, there will be overall exercise injects given to all players involved that will drive actions to be taken or situational awareness updates to be sent to the Maryland - DC Section Emergency Coordinator and the Maryland Emergency Management Agency. The goal is to show "continuity of communications" through out the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Several entities, PRGE and STMA Counties and MEMA are having "dry run" meetings in preparation for SET. PRGE County ARES will conduct their "dry run" meeting Saturday to ensure all participants interested in playing in SET will understand what to expect and how they can play in the exercise.
PRGE ARES needs operators to play in SET. Operators will be asked to support hospitals, county health department, county EOC, ARES EOC and HF WinMOR stations. Anyone who is WL2K capable, both RMS Packet and WinMOR is especially needed. The goal of the "dry run" is to plan for interoperability, capability, availability and scheduling of operators needed to play in 2013 SET.
Any licensed ham who would like to play in the exercise is invited to join this meeting. All experienced health care EmComm operators who have been or would like to be associated with the PRGE County Hospital Program please consider coming out to support.
This is not a training session per se but if anyone would like to get involved with WL2K come on out, bring your computer and we will help you get a Winlink account.
WL2K operators are asked to begin practicing WL2K between now and 9/21, and especially from 9/21 and October 4.
Please let me know if you can attend.
ARES appreciates your dedication to our ARES events, drills and exercises.
Thank you and hope to see you there! ! !
