[CALV-ARES] Cystic Fibrosis Cycle Event for Sunday October 20

Dennis,

Looks like Comcast is back up again.

Since you have someone already for all the rest stops, I propose you hold me in reserve and call me out if necessary. I'll monitor the repeater and any simplex frequencies you plan to use.

After working all last weekend up in NY on the rental house and then all this week at that professional society meeting, I'm REALLY tired and need some rest. Maybe I'll feel better after taking it easy tomorrow (Saturday).

Shawn,

So does this mean you will be back here Sunday?

XMZ, UGA and I are meeting tomorrow afternoon to program Bill’s D700 for MHCC. Bill is temporary installing it at MHCC on packet antenna.

I called IDX this afternoon but got VM but Belinda sb going to work tomorrow since Government is back to work. I was hoping he remembers how to program it. My APRS is programmed though not used in more than ten years. We can look to see how mine is programmed to get baseline the other one. With APRS so high up on the tower we need to ensure it is just one WIDE & ONE RELAY. Otherwise, we will be clogging up the APRS network since we can hit dozens of other APRS Stations.

Using APRS on the SAG or bicyclist would be ideal but this is our first time using APRS so stationery location is fine this time..

All the locations are assigned though three are only assigned to one ham. If you are back here then maybe you can double up at one of the Rest Stops with someone. BTW, weather looks good for Sunday = probably just jinx ourselves.

Dennis,

You can assign me to fill in any unclaimed spot. I do have APRS in my car (D700 + Garmin) should we be successful in getting an APRS digi up and running at Mt Hope. Also have an extra GPS receiver brick (USB interface) should anyone need to borrow it.
