SUBJECT   Purpose of CF Cycle Event   for 2013 Oct 13

Public Service Events are one of the best practices for EmComm training.
The objectives for the CF Cycle Event of October 20, 2013 will be;

 

1.   Provide communication support to served agency, Cystic Fibrosis Cycle
Event for 60 mile, 40 mile and 20 mile ride.

a.   Comms at Start/Finish Line shadowing sponsor personal.

b.   Comms at five Rest Stops; provide comms for Rest Stop personal and
participating cyclist(s).

c.   Comms for SAG units.

2.   Utilize ICS Forms for training purposes;

a.   ICS 214:  

b.   SITREP Messages

c.   Forms to be turned in to EC for record keeping purposes

d.   Copies of these forms are attached to this Email.

3.   Operate a direct net with NCS

4.   Do not leave your assignment without notifying NCS.  Only exception is
if your safety is in danger.  If you do relocated because you were
instructed to or because of safety, please, notify NCS APAP.

5.   Utilize APRS.  An Kenwood D700 APRS radio will be temporary activated
for this event on packet antenna, 300-foot, on MHCC tower.

6.   Utilize Repeater Ops for the Event.

7.   All Stations working on roads or road shoulders where motor vehicle
traffic exist are required by Maryland law to wear Hi-Vi Green outer
clothing.

8.   We are professional commentators.  Our sole purpose to serve agency(s)
by passing messages.  

a.   We do not offer to repair bicycles, pickup cyclist or their bicycles,
operate their business, clique their business.  

                                  i.    We are there to solely provide
communications.

9.   There will be a feedback session and refreshments following at the end
of the event.  Held at Start/Finish tent.  I will be collecting ICS messages
at this time.
