Thanks for the information Peter.
I just sent a message from MEMA to the CARA members and CALV ARES Stations
concerning the weather event for Wednesday and Thursday. Hope all have
planned well for your family and property. Remember to follow procedures
outlined in the ARES/RACES Information Binder or Quick Reference Document if
a communication event does occur.

Subject: [CALV-ARES] Weather Alert - Discussion with Bobby Fenwick, Director
Office of Emergency Management, Calvert County
Rhea, Bill, Gary and Dave,
FYI, only,
I spoke with Bobby Fenwick at the EOC this afternoon, Wednesday at 1610hrs
and asked whether the EOC was making any special preparations for the next
couple of days. I spoke first with Al Jeffrey, and then he put on Bobby
Fenwick. Bobby said that there were on-going conference calls with MEMA,
and specifically at 6 and 9 PM, for updates on the weather. He said the
County did indeed expect some difficult sheer line thunderstorms, however,
he is awaiting further guidance. He has already issued situation awareness
bulletins on the COMCAST and TV channels. In reply to my question about
CARA/RACES he did not indicate that he had been in touch with RACES
("BILL") yet. He seemed appreciative of the contact.
We do not have any specific plans for additional contacts.
