Hey guys,
Don't be too alarmed. We have two members with WLk capabilities on HF. For about $125.00 including cables with Signal Link TNC that anyone of us will be on WL2K without spending $1400.00 for that expensive modem. RMS software does same exact functions but at 90% the speed. For a $1300-1500 total savings, most of will be real happy operating at 90% speed.
The ARES planning committee (N1WR, N3XMZ, K3UGA, N3IDX & N3QHC) are real close of finishing our plan.
In addition, a KPC3 TNC we can do FLdigi on 2M.
There will some classroom training & ARES Nets training happening in a few weeks.
Hang in there...more to come.
73, Dennis

It will be a monthly test that allows users and sysops to ensure their equipment is working.   The test will be held on the second Tuesday of each month to coincide with COMMEX since most EOC's are manned during COMMEX and folks won't need to make a special trip to the EOC for another test.
