You studied, took the test and passed. Your new FCC Amateur Radio license
arrives in the mail. Now what do you do? If you are asking yourself that
question or any other amateur related question, we have just what you
need! The Anaheim Amateur Radio Association offers a FREE "MENTOR" PROGRAM
for all Hams who need assistance. We will endeavor to offer assistance on
any subject related to Ham Radio that may be needed. We call our program
"AARA MENTOR OUTREACH".
WHERE: Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 12301 Magnolia, Garden Grove, CA
WHEN: Saturday, February 18, 2006 @ 10 AM (Third Saturday of each month
except Mar. & Dec.)
WHAT TO BRING?: Nothing required. But, if you want, bring your radios and
manuals so we can help you program your radio and make your first QSO!
We will start with basics (VERY BASIC) and go from there. These sessions
are fun and informative for the beginner, the expert, or those somewhere in
between. Coffee and donuts will be served. Come on out, we look forward to
seeing you!
Last month, someone brought their new qrp rig so we set up a wire antenna
and made a few HF qso's. It was like a mini Field Day!
