And the HT-9 "conveniently" has the bias battery for its 814 final located UNDER the chassis. Not exactly a design convenience! But it is an impressive looking rig.
Photos of my Temco, HT-9, and RME 70; all good reasons to own a hydraulic lift cart!

And thanks for sharing the photos Nick!

My buddy K4OZY once had an HT-9, TEMCO 75, and Collins 32RA line-up. Three wide-body iron-filled monsters.

I have a HT-9 paired with a RME-70 receiver with the DB-20 built in and that combination takes up a LOT of space. But I am about to start restoration of a Temco 75 GA which has the same power rating as a HT-9 but is 20 pounds heavier, 2 inches wider, 2 inches deeper, and half an inch taller than the HT-9.
But the Temco does have a built in VFO so it isn't directly comparable.
It is definitely an awkward beast!

The HT-9 is the undisputed champion of the Amateur Radio transmitter “pounds per watt” competition.
