[Boatanchors] Hammarlund HQ215 BFO Issue

 Jim and others that responded to my email..your correct, that is the problem. I need to pull the shaft out completely and clean it up and lube. I am trying to find a wrench that fits the shaft for removal. It's like a hex wrench but looks like a star on the end. I generated a separate post  on this.
Thanks again to who responded. It is very much appreciated. This a very good reflector with lots of knowledgeable folks that are willing to assist.

 I had an AF67 that sat for 40 years and exhibited a similar problem. It turned out the old grease on the tuning capacitor shaft was preventing contact in certain positions. A little wd40 in the right spot is all it took to fix it.
