A couple of thoughts, since you actually answered a couple of things
I asked. Should have read more carefully.
Do you have the instruction book, if not there is one on BAMA. I
think they also have the construction book since the rig came as a kit
as well as pre-built.
Always start with the power supply. Check output voltages from the
transformer, its good the filaments are lighted, does that include the
rectifier filaments?
Check the high voltage outputs. If its there see what is happening
with the rectifiers. Is the DC output from the rectifiers?
I would follow the path step by step to see if there is high
voltage and if its getting to the tubes. If it isn't you can find where
its stopping. Keep going step by step. After the power supply start at
one end, say the VFO and trace the signal as far as you can.
I can't guess without a lot more information but I think if the
thing is dead the HV is not working and the most likely problem is a bad
filter cap. Its also possible the tuning capacitor arced over, which may
have damaged the output tube.
There is a chart in the handbook showing all the socket voltages and
resistances, do the resistance check first (power off and unplugged) and
then the voltage checks. These tests can often pin point a problem.
Repost here with your results and definitely if you find the
problem and what it turn out to be. These are good little transmitters,
very popular about the time I first got on the air.
